Can You Edit Text in a PDF?
Yes — but it depends on the type of PDF. There are two types:
- Text PDFs: Created from Word, Google Docs or similar. Text is selectable. ✅ Fully editable.
- Scanned PDFs: Photos or scans of paper documents. Text is an image. Needs OCR first.

Changing Font, Size & Colour
When you click a text block to edit it, a property bar appears at the top of the editor. From there you can change:
- Font family (Arial, Times New Roman, Courier, Georgia, etc.)
- Font size (4px to 200px)
- Text colour (full colour picker)
- Bold and Italic
Tips for Best Results
- OmniPDF automatically matches the original font when you click existing text
- For scanned/image PDFs, use the Whiteout tool to cover old text, then use Add Text to type new text on top
- Use Ctrl+Z to undo any accidental changes before saving
